Unexpected Possibilities

Julie Elliot, studied painting, drawing and printmaking at Okanagan College, completing a Diploma of Fine Arts (Honours) in 1989 and continuing with selected studies at UBCO. Over the past 25 years Julie has developed a style that is marked by strong flat shapes, line and pattern within a richly textured surface.

Elliot has had solo exhibitions at the Vernon Art Gallery, the Penticton Art Gallery, the Kootenay Art Gallery and the Kelowna Art Gallery (2 person show with artist Jim Kalnin).
Her work has been exhibited in group exhibitions at the Kelowna Art Gallery - Lake Country Art Gallery - Vernon Art Gallery - Bowen Island Gallery.
