Title: Flower Pattern - Ceiling light fixture
Details: Handmade ceramic art tiles - clay and glazes - Light fixture: 84"hx48" - 214x122 cm - 2014

In 2014, I was commissioned by HATCH Interiors in Kelowna to create ceramic elements for a Women’s Boutique. I designed and produced the front flower patter mural for the POS desk and  the background for the ceiling light fixture. In the studio, I started from two slab of clay as big as each design called for, working my way in creating by hand the petals, leaves and depth of the flowers to achieve the look and feeling desired by the clients… An artistic and elegant option to customize a light fixture or a furniture can make a big different in a simplicity of a space. We installed all our own projects to take care of final details.

Ceiling light pendant in customized ceramic art.

Flower pattern designed to scale for the ceiling light fixture.

Flower pattern design to scale for the POS desk.

A small sample of the mural was created to show the client and designer the details of petals, flowers and depth.

The front mural of this POS desk was customized in handmade ceramic flower pattern gaze in a porcelain white.

Some of the trades in the project were  a great help in installing the bulkhead for the ceiling pendant light. Very grateful..!!
