Vikki Drummond, is a painter living in Kelowna, who from an early has been transported elsewhere by the power of a well written story. So much so that often for a long time afterwards (years even) she still process through colours her ideas and impressions.
Though figurative images may appear, the artist is not concerned with realistic representation. In fact she is the happiest when a painting achieves a kind of jagged, twitchy finish. As a child’s creation might, her intention is to incite feelings of happy abandon with the viewer.
Vikki has had a solo exhibition at the Alternator Gallery in Kelowna, BC. and had participated in group exhibition in Lake Country Art Gallery and Kelowna Art Gallery in Kelowna, BC.
