Rhonda Neufeld, completed her Master in Printmaking and Drawing degree at the University of Regina in Regina, SK in 1996.

Rodney Konopaki, completed his Fine Arts degree at the University of Saskatchewan in 1989.

Rhonda and Rodney have been collaborating for eight years on work that spans the mediums of drawing, print media, collage and photography. Walking various terrains –mountain trails, urban streets, rural fields, boreal forests and shoreline, have recorded through their movements the surface of the land, on paper or print matrix carried between them and captured the working relationship, and the interactions with wildlife, encounter curious observers, and notice the human made environment.
Simon Schama, in Landscape and Memory, refers to the “archive of the feet” to directly experience a sense of place.
All blocks and drawings for these projects are completed on site while walking. The Saskatchewan wood blocks were cut with cordless rotary tools and the prints editioned on hand-made oriental papers that we coloured with powdered pigments, then printed soon afterwards.
